It is recommended that the City Council:
  
1. Authorize the transfer of $723,444.00 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Sewer Capital Projects Fund;
  
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $723,444.00 from available funds; and
  
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Conatser Construction TX, LP, in the amount of $662,444.00 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract M-1-I-1, Part 2.

On July 27, 2001, (M&C C-18456) Council authorized the City Manager to execute an Engineering Agreement with Dunaway Associates, L.P.,  for Sanitary Sewer Main 1-I-1 Condition Assessment and Drainage Area Evaluation Study.
  
This project, Part 2, consists of  the rehabilitation of a sanitary sewer main from Shamrock Avenue to Northeast Seventh Street.
  
The project was advertised for bid on July 30, 2009, and August 6, 2009, in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. On August 20, 2009, the following bids were received:

M/WBE - Conatser Construction TX, LP, is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 25 percent M/WBE participation. The City's goal on this project is 24 percent.
  
In addition to the contract cost, $36,000.00 is required for construction staking, project management, material testing and inspection and $25,000.00 is provided for project contingencies.

The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
