Enforcement Division

The Community Relations Department (CRD) is charged with enforcing laws regarding fair housing, equal employment opportunity and equal access in public accommodation, and the Enforcement Division carries out these responsibilities.  The Community Relations Department is a certified Fair Employment Practices Agency by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-certified Fair Housing Assistance Program.  These designations mean that complaints filed with the CRD are also filed with the federal agencies.

For persons that live or work outside the City of Fort Worth jurisdiction, the Community Relations Department serves as a referral source to the appropriate agency.

The Community Relations Department also provides information and training to citizens, employers, housing providers and business owners regarding compliance with local, state and federal civil rights laws.
