The Crud Cruiser Event Schedule

The Crud Cruiser mobile collection trailers travel to area neighborhoods to collect leftover household chemicals. Collection events are scheduled from March through November.

Residents of participating cities may also take leftover household chemicals to the Environmental Collection Center at 6400 Bridge St. Call 817-392-3279 for directions, hours of operation and a detailed list of what’s accepted. The capacity of the Crud Cruiser is limited, so please be courteous. Wait until the Cruiser is in your neighborhood before bringing your household chemical waste to a collection location.

The City of Arlington also operates a mobile collection unit. Visit the Arlington Web site for more information.

Please remember to follow these instructions when bringing your household chemical waste to a Crud Cruiser location:

• If a product is still usable, give it to someone who can use it instead of bringing it for disposal.
• Bring a recent water bill as proof of residency.
• Bring liquid paint sorted by type (i.e. latex, oil-based and lead-based).
• Keep chemicals in their original containers; place broken or leaking containers in a second container of like material (i.e. glass for corrosives, metal for flammables).
• If a container has no label and its contents are known, please place a label on the container clearly stating the contents.
• Do not transport chemicals in the passenger compartment of your vehicle. Put them in the trunk.
• Please stay in your car at the collection location. Fort Worth personnel will remove the waste from your vehicle. Please follow all instructions of City of Fort Worth personnel who are operating the collection.
