YOUTH FIRE ACADEMY

This course, which is based on our Citizen Fire Academy for adults, is targeted toward individuals aged 14 to 18. Although the course is held during the summer, applicants must “technically” still be students; cannot have graduated or dropped out.The class is designed to introduce our local youth to the workings of the Fire Department. At the same time, it is hoped that the class may spark an interest in a career in the fire service.

The class, which usually has no more than 15 participants, is five days in length. The hours are 09:00 am to 3:00 pm - Monday through Friday. The is normally held in the early summer.
