Gas Well Revenues Financial Management Strategy Ad Hoc Committee

City Council has charged the Gas Well Revenues Financial Management Strategy Ad Hoc Committee with formulating and recommending financial management strategies for gas well revenue that ensure a lasting, positive impact on Fort Worth citizens.

The committee will develop recommendations for a “spend and save” policy for gas well revenues through a series of public meetings. The sessions will include time for questions and input from citizens. The committee's focus is on financial management strategies and is not intended to solicit input about expenditures for specific projects or programs nor drilling policies. The meetings are for the sole purpose of hearing input on “spend and save” financial management suggestions, which would best leverage gas well revenues the city is projected to receive as part of the Barnett Shale.
