Food Handler Training

Food-handler training Classes are conducted at 818 Missouri Ave., Room 105. Please arrive 30 minutes before Class time to register. Class size is limited to 35 people. There will be no admittance once Class begins. Please do not bring young children to Class.

Fee for the Class is $16 per person, payable by cash or credit card. No checks will be accepted. Attendees must register 30 minutes prior to beginning of Class

Texas Registry for Food Handler Certification

Managers of food facilities in Fort Worth are required to have a valid Fort Worth Food Manager's Card.

To get the card, you must:

  • Earn your food manager's certification from the State of Texas (valid for five years)
  • Bring your state certificate and $15 to the Consumer Health, 818 Missouri Ave.

The Card is valid until the expiration date of the State Certification.
