Critical Incident Stress Management
(CISM)

The City of Fort Worth Crisis Intervention Program assists employees in coping with stress resulting from a critical incident or crisis event . The program is comprised of employee volunteers who serve as peer support for a distressed employee or work unit following a crisis or critical incident. Successful team membership is based on a formal application process and completion of required training in crisis intervention.
