Special Needs

Office Assistants
Provide assistance in offices at City Hall. Answer phones and respond to requests for information. File. Coordinate meetings. Positions available in a variety of City departments.
Historical Interpreters
Share your love of history with visitors to Log Cabin Village. Volunteers relate the history of the village and discuss pioneer life in Texas during the era of 1840-1890. A look at Log Cabin Village.
Nature Center
Volunteers are needed at the fort Worth Nature Center to teach classes, serve as Visitor Center hosts and guide tour groups. Help people get back to nature at the Nature Center.
Computer Training Assistants
Volunteers are needed to provide one on one assistance to individuals taking basic computer classes at the Central Library. This is a great chance to combine computer skills with teaching. A look at the classes.
Library Volunteers
Library volunteers wear many hats! Do you have a few hours a week to help your public library in one of these departments? Circulation, Periodicals, Genealogy, Events, Youth Center, Arts & Humanities. Volunteer positions are available at Central, two regional and 11 neighborhood branches.
