Hemphill/Lamar/Taylor Connector

Included in the consultant’s scope of services for the Lancaster Corridor Redevelopment project, is designing a street extension connecting Taylor Street and Lamar Street on the north to Hemphill Street on the south side of I-30.  This connection will improve the access between Downtown and Fort Worth’s south side.  When constructed, it will serve as an alternative route for people traveling on Jennings and Henderson Streets.  TranSystems, Inc. has been selected for final engineering and should begin complete plans, specifications, and estimates in the Summer 2008.
