Lancaster Corridor Initiatives
Houston/Commerce Two-Way Conversion -
Completed March 2003

In an effort to both improve traffic circulation around the Convention Center and the flow of traffic into Downtown Fort Worth via Lancaster Avenue, Houston Street and Commerce Streets have been converted from one-way to two-way streets between Lancaster and Ninth Streets. The change will allow the public to use the curbside for dropping off/picking up people for events. This will be safer and more convenient than people walking across the streets due to the one-way operations. The change in traffic flow was completed in March 2003.
