Your Library Can Save You Money
Subscribe to the library and take advantage of our Newspaper and Magazine Databases. Have you cut out magazine subscriptions at home or stopped the paper? Visit your local library branch to read the current issues of your favorite magazines. Don’t forget you can check-out back issues of almost all magazine subscriptions and take them home. Many people don’t know that they can also access online magazine databases on the library website. You can easily connect to thousands of full-text articles in your favorite magazines and newspapers.
Watch a movie from the library. Did you know the library has all of the most popular DVDs and music CDs? Take a break from rental fees and check out a DVD for free. We everything from new releases to classics to foreign films for adults & children. We also show films the first Sunday of each month at the Central Library.
Get your books for free. Do you buy a lot of books? Think about borrowing books first and then buying those you can’t do without. Use the library catalog to find just about any title you can imagine. If we don’t own it, we can most likely get it from another library via Interlibrary Loan. Check out our most requested titles.
Free Internet and Wi-Fi. Each location of the Fort Worth Library has free Internet and Wi-Fi available. Make it a habit to enjoy our spaces and save money at the same time.
Attend free programs at the library. Your library offers comprehensive programming for both adults and children. These high quality programs include music, computer classes, guest speakers, book discussion groups, arts and crafts, movies, and more. Check our events calendar for what's happening this week!
