Fort Worth Herd
Educational Programs
Herd cowboys and cowgirls present a fun and educational demonstration about the tools, equipment and techniques used during the cattle drive era of the late 1800's at CowCamp. All material presents the historical impact the drovers, horses and cattle made in Texas — then and now.
CowCamp is scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day behind the Livestock Exchange Building in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
Visit Stockyards Station to learn more.
Volunteer Opportunities
Be a "cowboy" or "cowgirl" while contributing your talents and energies to benefit children and adults who visit the Stockyards from all over the world.
Special Appearances
Need to add some western flavor to your special event? The drovers and longhorns are available for special appearances.
Outriders of the Fort Worth Herd

Cattle Drives
Drives are conducted daily at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on East Exchange Avenue.
No drives are held on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
The Trail Boss has the ultimate decision to cancel the drive due to inclement weather. Drives are subject to the longhorns' disposition and changes to the schedule may be necessary.
