Evans and Rosedale Village

The Evans & Rosedale village is located in the Near Southeast neighborhood at the intersection of East Rosedale Street and Evans Avenue in Council District 8. Its proximity to downtown Fort Worth and Interstates
I-35W and I-30 make it attractive for investment.

This village has received local and federal funding for infrastructure improvements, environmental cleanup, site preparation, and a low-interest business loan program. A recent grant award ($85,000) from the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Sustainable Development program, will be used to fund a housing market study and urban design standards.

The advocacy and professional organizations that promote business development and investment in this village include the Near Southeast CDC, Southeast Fort Worth, Inc., and Fort Worth South.

Construction of the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods building. The new building is estimated to be completed July 2009 and will be occupied by the following City offices: Code Compliance, Community Relations, a Police storefront and two Community Prosecutors.
Completion of the Ella Mae Shamblee Branch Library which opened March 30, 2008.
In June 2006, the historic Tommy Tucker building was approved for placement on the National Register of Historic Places.
